Hi:
I recently had new Brake Disks and Pads replaced on my 1998 VW Jetta. The brakes are working very well but from time to time I hear a rubbing sound as the car comes nearly to a stop.
While riding at speed, there is no sound. Only after fully applying the brakes and coming to a near stop can you hear a rubbing sound that seems to correspond to the wheel rotation.
Could there be something loose? something installed incorrectly that is rubbing?
Thanks,
Fred G.

If it continues everyday then there's a problem upfront-take it back.

Could be rotors that have been improperly finished or brake parts not installed properly.

It wouldn't hurt to have them looked at where you had the work done. Every so often I get a set of pads that I think are on the aggressive side and sound a little coarser than you would expect.
