Replace sunroof glass - VW Jetta GLS 1997

I have Jetta GLS 1997, and lately its sunroof glass was shattered by someone. I called some auto glass shops but no one had glass for it, so I asked a dealer for glass. They said that sunroof glass costs about $650 & plus labor, $250. Total will be about $900.

Therefore, I'm thinking to get glass from junk yard, and replace it by myself, but I have no idea how to remove the ceiling panel and replace glass.

If someone knows about that, please help me.

If you are willing to do the work yourself for this I suspect you would be willing to do other work as well. Therefore, go to the auto parts store and for about $20, purchase a maintenance manual on the vehicle. The manual will have what you need.
