Muffler epoxy?

My VW Jetta has had some corosion on the muffler where the inlet pipe joins the resonator. Is there an epoxy that I can mold around this joint that will harden to keep the inlet pipe in place and in line with the resonator or is this something that would have to be soldered back together?
