I have 1992 VW cabriolet convertible. 1.8L 4 cylinder,
mileage is 107,000+/-. i have replaced all vaccum hoses connected to the plenum just incase there is a vaccum leak, i have cleaned the maf sensor filament with a carb cleaner. all necessary tuneups have been made, i have alot of experience with engines but this is my first EFI engine. i have applied every troubleshooting proceedure i know from my non-EFI experiences, but i cant seem to make the Idle rpm go down to normal rpm.
Everytime i start the ignition, the engine starts normally but the RPM rises to 3000rpm and stays there.. What more can i do to try and bring down the IDLE RPM to 7-800RPM?
