So it was icy out, there was no ice ON my window, so I cleverly tried to roll down the window. It didn't budge but made the noise as if it was rolling down. I tried to use the window after the weather warmed up but it did the same thing.

I was driving today and the window fell down. The motor still makes the noise as if it's rolling up or down. . . and I can move the window around with my hands. Do you think the window is just off of the tracks or does a piece need to be replaced?

Thanks for any help.

Also, how would I go about finding a somewhat cheap place to fix this problem? I've called dealerships and they seem to think it'd cost around $400-$500[img:b5cac9ab06]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/309663_mail_1.jpg[/img:b5cac9ab06]

Yeah the same thing happened to me with my 99 VR6 and I took it it and they said that the cable broke and needed to replace the entire thing, which I thought was going to be big bucks. All said in done it was about 130 for the part and 80 for labor as it took about 1 hr. Hopefully the window didn't shatter cuz that is another issue. Best of luck. Jeremy in California
