The alternator went bad on the car so i replaced it with a refurbished OEM from the local parts wharehouse. After install i i checked voltage supply at the battery while running and the alternator was not charging the battery (12.8 and dropping) i exchanged it for another one and installed it again. same thing happend with the exchanged one but this time the alternatorr was whining very loud. I check output directly at the B+ terminal on the alt. while the engine was running on battery power. No voltage reading at all. what am i doing wrong? any ideas? could i just be that unlucky and i got 2 bad alternators?

The same thing is happening to me! I've gone through 3 alternators and 2 batteries. My cables look fine too.... Have you figured it out yet?
