My car makes a clucking noise when I shift gears, especially in the lower gears, 1, 2 and 3.

It doesn't make the noise when I shift to 4th or fifth.
The car is running perfectly normal, no warning lights have turned on, on my dashboard, but it worries me that something is loose, somewhere in my transmission that would make this noise occur when I shift gears or step on the clutch.

This happened yesterday when I was teaching someone how to drive my car. Obviously when someone learns how to drive a manual transmission car for the first time, the car will stall and jerk violently. Perhaps something was jarred loose during this test drive.

Most likely the motor mounts if you were teaching someone to drive a manual with the car. If the mounts are even close to borderline, a few hard shots with the clutch will finish them off, then the engine jumps around when load is applied (on the gas/shifting) or when you back out of it abruptly

A few more questions;
1.What would you suggest that I do?
2. should I take this in to a mechanical for further observation?
3. or is this something I should not worry about?
4. How much would it be to repair my motor mount? 5. What are my potential hazards or dangers while driving with this problem?

You should have a shop look at it for you.It wont do any real immediate damage, but it does wear on things that are hooked to the engine like the exhaust, air intake boot , wiring.I would get it fixed as soon as your situation allows
