Engine Performance problem
1995 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Just replaced timing belt and water pump put it all back together and now it turns over but won't start. Seems to not be getting spark and was fine before the work was done. There is no crank sensor under the timing belt cover like the dealer ship and another mechanic suggested what else should i look for ?

? Disconnect harness connector from Ignition Coil Power Output Stage (N157).
? Disconnect ignition wire from Ignition Coil (N152).
? Switch multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) to resistance range.
? Connect multimeter between Ignition Coil terminals -1- and -15- and measure primary resistance.
? Primary resistance: 0.5-0.7 Ohms
? Connect multimeter between Ignition Coil terminals -4- and -15- and measure secondary resistance.
? Secondary resistance: 3000-4000 Ohms
If resistance values are not within the specified ranges:
? Remove Ignition Coil (N152) and replace Ignition Coil Power Output Stage (N157)..
? Repeat primary and secondary resistance checks.

Mark it and switch it with a similar one
u know that you have a crank sensor or engine speed sensor at the rear of the engine by the flywheel
