i have a 95 vw jetta 3 gl it was running great till i had a problem mith the fuel filter. i went to get a new one and they didn't have any in stock. the guy gave me one that he said would work. The car starts but it runs real rough then stalls. I smell gas. does the filter act as a fuel reducer to? or is there another problem?
