Suspension problem
1995 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I was turning into my neighborhood, in the snow, started sliding sideways and hit a curb with my front drivers-side tire. From what I can see one part is real bent up; however, I do not know the name of the part.... Help?

The part in question is the lowest horizontal metal part that should be straight.

Are you asking about the outer CV Joint? The part with the convoluted rubber boot? Change the entire axle with a rebuilt..Or what appears to be a bent lower control arm? The metal part that attaces to the lower ball joint? Here's a diagram of the front suspension Base models.
