2001 Volkswagen GTI Air Conditioning Compressor

With A/C switched on and vehicle running. There is a 2 pin connector to compressor. you need to back probe 2 pin connector for power to compressor. Connector must be connected to compressor while checking power though. If you do not have power you need to check the fuses on the driver side dash. Also check fuse panel on top of battery to see if it is melted or fuses are blown. If this is ok, then you may have a faulty fan control module as this supplies power for A/C. Also if A/C charge is too low the system will cut power to compressor. so make sure you do have a good charge and no leaks.
