The Check Engine light comes on and displays...
P0801....Reverse Inhibit Control Circuit
I really don't know what that means just that it could be a tranny issue. The computer that it was hooked up to didn't actually give an answer for a VW so here is what is happening.
This doesn't happen all the time but, when i start the car and I let her warm up I will start driving and it seems to hesitate when accelerating. No matter what gear I am shifting into it happens... but here is the weird part... this will only happen until the car is warmed up completely. Then everything is fine. This has happened about 4 times in the past month... so about once a week. When I went to the parts store they thought it could be a cracked wire or air/fuel mixture.
Any suggestions?
