Yes, there is a fault in that system, you will have to get a scan done to identify where the problem lays, your SRS will be in-op until this is rectified and the code cleared.

There are sensors attached to the front bumper cover {plastic cover] and attached to the body. If the car bumped anything lightly and moved one of these sensors the light will come on. The sensor has to be replaced once it is moved.It takes a harder hit to activate the air bags as there is another sensor inside the car . athet both have to be activated at once to deploy the air bags.
