After changing the rear muffler, I drove the vehicle and noticed a severe clunking sound when turning only to the right at speed. It sounds as if the transaxles are rubbing somewhere under the floor board and the frequency sounds as if the bolts holding the transaxle to the transmission are hitting something. I jacked up the car and inspected the CV boots, transaxles, wheel bearings and struts. There were no signs of wear or any other abnormalities. They all looked fine. The only thing I noticed is that the motor mounts may be a little loose, but, I don't know how they are supposed to look. I don't know where else to look !!!

if motor mounts were bad vehicle wold be shakking and making noises idling from the engien bouncing around.

drive slowly and slowly turn through the whole steering range. forward and reverse.

if you hear clickign the cv joint is bad.

doesnt take a big hole for all the grease to be thrown out of the cv axle.
