We recently had the head gasket replaced on our Eurovan. After that, the engine began missing and having poor performance. The mechanic said that the injectors were bad and replaced all six. We then went on the road for a vacation trip from Seattle, but the van performed poorly, missing, and lugging on hills. The engine check light was on all the time, and it flashed on and off if you went uphill or put strain on the engine.
We stopped in Eugene and had the van worked on there by a dealer. The dealer replaced the coil, spark plugs and ignition wires and it seemed to work OK, but after eighty miles the check engine light came back on and the same thing seemed to be happening. We stopped in Medford and left the van with a dealer there for a more thorough job. This dealer said that some of the new injectors were bad, and replaced those. The van seemed to work OK, but after eighty miles again the check engine light came on again and the engine began idling rough, though it worked pretty well at high speed.
Whatever we have, three different mechanics have worked on it and they don't seem to be able to diagnose or repair it properly. Any suggestions?
