On my 1984 watercooled Eurovan, when the outside temp. is high, or if I have been idling in warm weather, the engine suddenly dies--no chugging or lurching; it just stops running. After about an hour, it will start and run, but then will die again, usually after just a few miles of driving.
The fuel pump has been replaced. The ignition has been inspected and found to be in good order, and the fuel lines have been replaced or checked out.
