Traced an oil leak back to the oil cooler. Suspect the oil cooler seal ("o-ring") may have gone bad. How do I replace the oil cooler seal on a 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio, 4 cyl (and I am presuming the oil cooler itself is ok - does not appear damaged.)? Heavier leaking when engine is running (I suspect due to build up of oil pressure). I believe the seal is under $3. Are there any other seals that could go bad in regard to the oil cooler and if so what are they and how are they replaced? The cooling lines in and out of the oil cooler appear ok.

I presume oil flows via the cooler and oil filter and back to the engine, oil pump, etc.
