2001 Volkswagen Beetle headlamp assembly

you did not tell me if was the the right or the left head light? thats OK, you will see a metal clamp at the top of the head light behind the fender in the engine compartment, pull the metal clamp up, once you have done that you will find on the slide a switch-lever that slides up too, once you have done that the head light will pull out and you can disconnect the wires pull the head light out and replace the bulb.
