1983 Volkswagen Beetle Carburetor dripps gas after shut dow

Hello, I just bought a 1600cc 83 vw bug. it did not run and as part of reparations I put a set of new carburetor gaskets and needle valves. now it runs well but after shutting down engine, carburetor would start dripping gas to both intake manifold and engine crankcase. I did already double check floater's needle valve, they are ok! can you give me an idea of what going on??
