Tried to jump my 65 beetle (6 volt) with 12 volt battery like last year (no problem last year). This time, I replaced the battery and cables, starter turned over fast, but no start. I noticed for the first time that when the key is in the start position, the oil and generator lights do not come on. Any ideas?
