You have a couple options however, if the motor is not working and has power at the motor when the switch is pressed, then you only have one option to open this.

Basically that means the motor has failed and requires replacement if it has power but not working and then you need to operate it manually to get the window to open.

I would suggest checking the voltage and see if you need to replace it while you are there. I attached the wiring diagram below for this.

So is violet/white ground? Where is the hot wire which should light up when i hit the slide switch? I hear click when i try to slide it have not yet trued anything else. I will try to manually open it. I said the clips are broken just based on how infamous it is but i could be wrong.

That clicking that you are hearing is the motor trying to open it but it is either jammed or the motor has failed. I would put my money on the fact that the glass is jammed.

The violet and brown is the open power wire. This should have 12 volts when you are opening but I don't think that is your issue because if the tilt works but it jams as soon as it goes to slide back points to the glass being jammed.

Unfortunately we are going to have to most likely drop the headliner to get a view of the track when this is clicking.

Below is the process from the manual on how drop the liner. Let me know if you need more info.

I see. so there is no motor in the back correct? I did one of these a year ago and the clips were broken, but when I tilted this one I saw the clips and it was fine but it closed like it should, usually they would not if they were broken...pulling the headliner down is not too hard, Velcro. So once I do that I will have someone hit the button and look and see why it is making a sound...

Exactly. That is correct. There is one motor and it moves cables that move the glass.

Took the headliner down and the motor that makes the noise is the one in the back, i guess the sunroof motor is in the back and not the front? Looked up the numbers and it says sunroof motor, just clicks. I think it is weak and may have broken plastic wheels inside it.

Wow, there are two motors next to each other, i guess one is for tilt. I opened the slide one and this is what i found. Is this normal?

I see what I did. Do you have a motorized sun shade as well? They list these separate and so I would have to assume this other motor is the sunshade.

However, you may not need it but while looking for that info, I did find this info on how to clean the track.

It is a different way in which I have done it so I figured it was worth reviewing.

Ya, cleaning would not be an issue, am good at that, thanks for the instructions. Ya, you are right about the sunshade. I think the sunshade does not fully open, like not 100% and the clicking starts as soon as its about to wind, so wither the shade's not finishing up opening is the issue or the other motor is not working, they are both the same. but based on the pictures i sent you i an not sure this is how they supposed to look on the inside.

Oh shoot. I forgot to attach this. Sorry. I have not taken these specific motors apart before but have seen enough motors and windings to know I have not seen these marks before.

I don't know how they would get there to think they are abnormal but all I can say is I have not seen marks on them like this before.

This is an assumption but that could be an issue with getting the motor to turn. Normally you find an issue with the windings but this is clicking which I can convince myself that this could cause the issue.

Ya, that is what I am thinking. I have seen starters, and other motors but nothing like this, i will see once the replacement is here.

It was that motor. Installed it and initialized the motor and all is good. Thanks for your help.
