For 2 months the red battery Visit Shop light comes on and has been ignored. Had rear battery checked; was told battery and alternator charging okay. Went to start car today and would not accept key - no power. Remembered the auxiliary battery and replaced it today. Everything in, properly tightened won't accept the key -no power. Is there a fuse that might have popped? Does the aux battery have to be charged?

Hi,

If the battery is weak, it can cause a problem. Have you confirmed the batteries are both charged? Does anything electrical on the vehicle work? For example, the lights, interior lights, radio, and so on?

Here is a quick easy to load test a battery to determine if it needs charged or is bad:

Let me know.
