Vibration between 40MPH and 55MPH

It's smooth before 40MPH and after 55MPH. Tried replacing all of the following. Ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links, wheel bearings, shocks, stabilizer shock, u-joints twice, tires mounted and balanced, fresh alignment. Has a slight sway as well after new tires were installed? It doesn't have a lift kit. Also tried rotating drive shaft 180* with no change. Accelerating, braking, coasting doesn't change vibration even when shifted to neutral while coasting.

Hi,

Does this have a one or two-piece rear driveshaft? Where do you notice the vibration the worst, in the floor/seat or in the steering?

If possible, take a look through the attachments below They review what to check for a vibration specific to this vehicle. Let me know if it helps.

It's a one-piece driveshaft. After inspection I found another u joint was shot. Third set in less than 1,500 miles. I switched from the Moog brand to Spicer brand with hopes they are better. Could the driveshaft be causing u joints to be going out?

A driveshaft can cause this to happen if it is bent or out of balance. Does the vibration go away after the joint is replaced?

Okay, so one more question. Lol. I have a 4r100 transmission that I replaced about 20,000 miles ago with a low mile transmission. I drove the truck before pulling the transmission, so I know it was good before. After I installed it, I noticed if I were at say 35MPH and punch it it will go through all the gears until it's time to go to od and start searching for it. like bouncing between 3rd and 4th. If let off the throttle say a 1/4 it doesn't do it. I punch it from. Light it will go through the gears fine other then it doesn't even try for od until I let off but that seems like what it should do. What would be the reason for the searching? Any ideas? It does have a 6.0 cooler, hydra tuner, cold air intake, 4in straight pipe. Nothing drastic .Obviously new fluid/filters when installed.

Hi,

The idea of not using OD is normal if you have it to the floor. Searching for a gear is another. Have you tried to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes? Actually, I would suggest scanning the can-bus. CAN stands for controller area network.

Basically, all the different computers and modules are tied together via a few wires. Scanning the can will retrieve codes regardless of the module holding them. Here is a link that shows how it is done:
