Very soft brakes and will not hold brake fluid

So I went to park after driving fine and my brakes went totally to the floor. I can still stop, it just takes a crazy amount of pressure. I lost all my brake fluid at that point, and it doesn't hold any now. Any ideas on what I should look for how how I can go about working on this?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Okay, if you lost pedal and the fluid, you have a ruptured line or failed brake component. Since it won't hold fluid, my first suspect is a rusted brake steel brake line which has ruptured and is leaking fluid.

With that in mind, I need you refill the master cylinder with brake fluid. Next, check under the vehicle for a leak. It could be from any point of the underside of the vehicle, but you should see a puddle develop where it is.

Once you do that, let me know approximately where the leak is coming from. Don't drive it until we get this fixed. Also, here is a link that discusses different causes for a brake pedal going to the floor. I'm just adding it so you can see the different components which can cause it.
