Vent Only (Actuator), no defrost or floor. Have read about the issue being an actuator, but unsure the difference between a mode or blend actuator or what is the issue on my vehicle.

This would be an air distribution door actuator which is located just above the gas pedal. here is the location and instructions on how to replace it in the images below. Please let me know what happens.

Here is what they show us, most of the panels come off with a few fasteners and push clips. Please upload images of the problem so I can help.

I was able to remove the panels needed and replace the actuator. However, the new actuator is moving when varying options (defrost/floor/vent) are selected, but they are not correct to what is selected. Is there a calibration process?

okay, I was able manually check the varying positions of the actuator as different options were selected (vent/defrost/floor) and compare to manually rotating the piece that the actuator moves...then using a battery and wire - adjusted the actuator to the correct alignment of the selected option so that when installed, it was in correct position. Prior to this, had to manually adjust the piece that the actuator moves, but when different options were selected - it would not be correct.

Thanks for all the help here!
