Vent blend door actuator removal

I approached from underneath and still couldn’t access the 2 levers that control the blend door actuator gears. I did discover an electrical unplugged terminal which now gives me heat. I thought that problem may be the thermostat but it was the plug being off.
I do get air through the vents. it’s just that it doesn’t match the switches, i.e.
Air comes out the front and defrost when on defrost. The actuator is working okay, I think it’s the gears and levers (which I replaced one because it was broken) that are not positioned properly to allow the proper blend of air coming thru the vents. I may have to resort to someone doing it for me. Sorry this is so lengthy. Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you might have the actuator timed incorrectly. does it have a gear or a slot to connect to the blend door pivot? Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.
