Code po443, vehicle will not take gas after fuel pump replacement

Hi,

When you replaced the pump, was it only the pump or was the module replaced which contains the pump?

I ask because there is a vent valve before the charcoal canister which is part of the module. If the only the pump was replaced, there could be a blockage.

I attached the diagnostics below for the code you have. (Pics 1 and 2). Pic 3 is the one I feel is of most interest. Make sure the vent tube that is attached to the filler tube isn't damaged and where it connects isn't bent, preventing airflow.

Also, I highlighted from the fuel tank to that tube. Check for restrictions there.

I replaced the entire inner contents of the fuel pump assembly, not just the tank. After putting it back in, I was unable to fuel it up then started replacing it part by part. when I took the tank out the second time to replace the pressure switch above the tank I checked for damages. After all this still gets the same pressure noise when you open the gas cap to fuel. I will pull the vent tube and inspect for a clog. Someone also suggested to me that there may be some debris in the tank that is affecting the flap to the tank and that I should unhook the filler tube and poke the flap to maybe jar it loose. That seems farfetched to me but at this point I'm ready to try anything.

Anything is possible. Disconnect the charcoal canister and see if it takes fuel. It will set a code, but it can be deleted.

If the canister does nothing, work back to the tank. Also, is there a rubber hose between the tank and the fresh air vent?

I disconnected it previously trying to find the issue if. I disconnected the line at the front of the fuel tank that leads to the cannister and it takes fuel no issue.

That is where the issue is coming from. Go to the canister and see if it takes fuel. If it still doesn't, work your way back to the tank.
