Yesterday I ended up driving over a curb, after a couple of hours my car was okay but then it stalled on me at a light. I was able to start it quick but then I was driving down the road and it stalled on me again while driving. What could I have hit? I tried restarting it and it was a no go, I then had someone give me a jump still no go. I tried turning it over this morning and there is a funny noise that comes from I'm not sure. My key also turns ask the way on but does not turn all the way off. I'm able to take my key out of it but my ignition slot is not turned all the way off.

Clearly that does not sound good. When you hit the curb, did you drive completely over it or just hit it with the tire?

Can you look under the vehicle and see if there is significant damage? It sounds like there is a pulley wobbling or that the crank is actually making contacting with something in the pan which is why I am wondering if you drove over the curb.

Thanks

Okay. That squeaking that you are hearing is the sound an engine makes when something is rubbing on something else. With the fact that it is hesitating a little as well then I suspect there is a larger issue inside the engine.

Clearly with what happened I would expect there to be some damage but if not then we need to start pinpointing where the noise is coming from. Is it louder from underneath, left side, right side? Then that will help narrow what the possible causes are or next steps. Clearly we don't want to just take the engine apart but I suspect there is internal damage to it.

Also, check the oil level and make sure it is full.
