Vehicle stalls in reverse and drive

Does the check engine light stay on when the engine is running? Also, does it also stall when you place it in drive, or is it limited to only reverse? Take a look through this link. It explains the most common causes of a stalling issue.

Also, the check engine light stays on. The car idle when starting from high idle to low idle after vehicle runs for few minutes.

This sounds like a possible idle control issue, but we need to check what the check engine light is telling us. This means we need to check codes and go from there. We could guess at this but the fact that the check engine light is on is telling us the vehicle sees an issue and those codes will help us get on the right path.

If you can't pull the codes, most parts stores will do the scan for free or we will need to take it to a dealer or repair shop. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
