The vehicle will not start with a brand-new battery. The steering wheel doesn’t lock, and the key is locked into the ignition.

Can you turn the key to have the dash light up? Do the lights work anywhere in the car? I need more information to help you. If you can turn the key does the engine crank over? (starter working).
Please go over this video to help get more of what is going on:
I’ve attached a video, and you can see that the car doesn’t even crank. I hope the video answers some of your questions. Thank you in advance for your help and patience.

Thanks for the video, yep the car has no power, I saw the battery cable end which I believe is your problem. I would get a new negative battery cable end and re-strip the battery cable and reconnect the battery, the truck should spring back to life and the key will be able to be removed. Let me know.

So I went ahead and cleaned the battery cable and the car started. I drove the car around with no issues. However, I turned the car off and was able to remove the key from the ignition. After about a minute I went to start the car again and nothing. Car would not start.

I would get a new battery cable end and strip a new end from the cable, once the ends go bad for corrosion it is difficult to get them back to normal, ultimately a new cable would be best.
