Hi.. My Vauxhall Frontera had a leak/split on the Power Steering Pipe, the steering was stiff and when turning there was a whining noise and you felt a grinding on the wheel. I repaired the pipe initially, but this did not help. I have since replaced this pipe, however when you turn the wheel it is still stiff, the noise and grinding feel on the steering wheel is no longer noticable though. I would assume that I need to bleed the power steering system, but can not find a bleed valve on the pump which is situated in the front of the engine near the radiator, powered by the fan belt. I have refilled the fluid and have turned the steering wheel left to right but this is still not helping. Please can you offer some advise... could there be an innitial problem for the split in the original pipe maybe? thanks!
