hi, i have a vauxhall astra 1.4 8 valve 1992 K reg car with about 114,000 on the clock.
this is a bit of a silly question but i know nothing about cars!
my radiator began to leak quite heavily and since then the car has been stalling a lot when driving. I fixed the leak and now the car is driving fine, does a leaking radiator cause a car to stall? I ask in case its an intermittent fault that may return when Im not expecting it!
secondly how quickly should the temp guage get to 90 degrees when driving? mine hits 90 degrees when ive been driving at say 30 miles an hour for maybe 5-10 mins is this normal? Ive not noticed it getting above 90 so far so it doesnt seem to be overheating but im just concerned at how fast it warms up in case there is something wrong that I dont know about! sorry for silly questions but im on a limited budget so dont like nasty surprises when it comes to my car repairs!
hope you can offer some advice and hope im worrying about nothing!
Many thanks

out side temp plays a part in how quickly the vehicle warms up .. if the engine overheats due to coolant loss this will cause stalling out !!
