Deadlock on Vauxhall Vectra 1.8i 1998

The deadlock is stuck on the Driver door on my Vectra. The central locking works but I cannot open the drivers door.
Any ideas?

i suspect it is the lock mechanism that needs replacing if all the other doors are working correctly
