when in 4th or 5th gear and the revs get high the turbo dies as if you have took your foot off the excelarator and a light flashes showing a car with a spanner when left idle for 5-10mins the turbo comes back on

the light with the spanner is telling you there is a fault in the electrical system ... the only way to discover where the fault lies, is with the vauxhall diagnostic system or equivalent !!
