Hello there, I wonder if you can help me.

I replaced 2 rear brakes pipes on my Astra Mk3 98, during this, the reservoir got fully emptied.

New pipes are fitted and I have been bleeding the system by 2 man method, with my helper pumping the pedal.
Air bubbles were removed from the system, 4 wheels have been done to ensure no air was present.............. BUT now the brake pedal will not resume to its normal pressure, the travel is way too much and the brakes are very spongy, I cannot seem to get rid of this problem and so the brakes do not work fully.

What is causing this ????

You must still have air in the system .. don't forget if you let the reservoir run dry whilst bleeding you got air into the beginning of the pipes ..... so you have to virtually bleed the whole system drain and refill all pipes to get the air out ... hope this helps

When you say, air will still be in the top of the pipes....... will it affect the front brakes also ? or should i just fully bleed the rear pipes?

is it possible for it to be the regulator valves ? maybe faulty ?
