Variable valve timing solenoid location

What code is set that makes you think you need this part?

I attached the location and also a TSB on the issue as well.

What is the code that is set?

Car has 202,000 miles on it, oil is changed every 3000 miles, but it's done at Firestone for about $20.00 each time with coupon! So I figure they must not be using quality oil, hence causing problems!
The Service Engine Soon light came on and the car started having hick-ups when gassing up at a stop sign or light or just wanting to accelerate. It also does not go very fast even when gassing it up during cruising!
I changed the oil but the light is still on, I figure I need to clean the Variable Valve Timing Solenoid.
What do you guys think?

I suspect it's for an Infiniti I35 (2004) correct?
Is the Variable Valve Timing Solenoid hard to get to?

I need the code that was set that makes you think it is the VVT.

Code is P0011 and P0650.

Okay, the 650 is for the check engine light. Does the light come on when you turn the key to the on position?

The 11 is for the timing. It points right at the oil passage as I suggested.

So how I would get to that solenoid?

The first thing I would do is to have the oil system acid flushed to get rid of ll the dirt and debris in the passages. If you replace the solenoid now, it will get contaminated and fail as well.

You need a shop that can do this procedure. It is not an oil change with an additive. It is removing the oil and filter and pressurizing the hot fluid through all the oil passages in the engine to get rid of the debris.

Then you can change the solenoid.
