Valve cover, torque specs?

There were a couple of places online that said that the torque specs for this 2.4 L valve cover are about 106-inch pounds. I started out at around 50-inch pounds and that felt pretty snug for a valve cover.

106-inch pounds feels pretty tight for a valve cover. Am I wrong?

They are supposed to be done in 2 passes pass 1-to-55-inch pounds, pass 2-to-90-inch pounds. Using the attached pattern.
