Under hood light

How do i add it to a vehicle not previously equipped? I got one from salvage but cannot see how/where to connect the wiring. There is no wiring harness connector (like there was on the salvage yard vehicle) under the cowl.

I can say it is fed from fuse #7 in the junction block, so if there is no wire present run one from that fuse. Then ground, g106.

Stupid i know, but which junction block is this? Where is it located? Will connecting it here activate the light only when the hood is opened?

Usually the light has a switch built in which activates when the hood is opened enough.
the junction block is located behind left side of dash.
