My mechanic told me that my under hood fuse box was bad and needed replaced. I couldn't afford his estimate so I pulled a fuse box from a pick and pull place and replaced it myself. When I went in for another problem, he said it was still a problem. He said no matter how many times I replaced it, it would still be bad. I don't understand why and would like to know so I can get it fixed or not.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

That doesn't even make sense. Why would he say that? Did you install the same type of fuse box? Is everything working now?

Tell me what you went in for. Maybe we can figure this out together.

Also, here are the directions for replacing the fuse box right from Alldata. See if it's what you did.

I attached a picture of the fuse box I believe you are referring to. Let me know if I'm correct. Did he ever tell you why the original fuse box was bad? Let me know more details. I have to be honest, if I was told that, I doubt I would ever return. If he knows something is wrong and wants to fix it, you have a right to know what he is fixing.

Let me know.

The problem may not be the fuse box but one of the connectors that plugs into it. What was wrong the first time and was that solved by the replacement? What is the new issue?
