Turn signals not blinking properly

My turn signals occasionally. I'll get one blink, then nothing, or no blinking at all. Other times they blink normally for about 20-30 seconds. They light up properly when they actually blink, so it's not a burnt out bulb. And it's both sides. No other lights are effected.

Hi,

I have a feeling it is a bad turn signal flasher. It is located under the dash on the driver's side. I attached a picture of location. A flasher isn't expensive. This is what I would try first.
