The right blinker would cancel out when turning the wheel, but the left wouldn't. I pulled the column apart to replace the turn signal canceling cam, and when I put mine all back together, now neither blinker is canceling. The turn signal cam is working, where the blinkers/hazards, etc., all work fine, but they won't cancel out. It's like the cancel cam, with the two knobs and horn button holder, is just spinning in there but not touching the cancel springs to push on them. Any ideas? I have an '84 C20, but the column is marked for an '86 Blazer (it was replaced before I got the truck).

Yep, it is the turn signal switch that is bad, if you look the cancelling tabs are broken off.

Thanks Ken, but I've put a new one in, and it doesn't work still.

There is only the cam and the switch so one must not be working. Do you have the correct switch and is it mounted correctly?

Hi Ken, upon further inspection, the new one wasn't molded correctly, so it didn't allow the springs to do the spring things. I put the original one back in (it was just missing a spring), and it was letting the springs work as they should. A very minor difference, but enough to make it not work. Everything is working now; sorry to bother you guys!
