Today I tried to start my truck and it started up for a few seconds and then shut off. I got a new battery about a month ago. Would this be potentially a fuel pump issue?

Thanks for the video. If you could give me a little longer one, it would help. It sounds like the engine is not running correctly. Will it keep running if you hold the throttle down slightly?

Please check out this guide which can shed some light on the problem:

Please go over this guide and report back.

Alright here are a bunch of things I have tried: unplugging the mass airflow sensor and starting which failed. Tested the fuses and the relays and confirmed they are all working. Turned the key to the start position, I didn’t hear any humming of the fuel pump from the gas tank, but I heard some humming sound in the engine area, so I assume it’s in the engine Bay Area? Got an ignition spark tester and was able to confirm a spark. I did notice the A/T Oil Temperature light was in the dashboard (screenshot). Put in my scanner tool and got 11 codes… also stepping on the gas pedal when starting doesn’t do anything, it just shuts off a couple seconds later. I am planning to do the fuel compression test next.

These are all MAF and misfire codes, I would remove all spark plugs and do a compression test which the tester you can rent at the auto parts store.

Here is a guide to help:

Please let us know what happens.
