Hi,

The ambient air temperature sensor is integral to the mass air flow sensor. Chances are that is why you aren't finding info for it. They are located in the air induction tube near the air filter box.

I attached the directions below for replacing it.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

There are two ambient air temperature sensors, one gives the temperature on the readout (on mirror) the other affects many internal ac functions. (clutch for A/C etc.,) the MAF is specifically the wrong one and helps with air intake etc. The one I need is usually inside the grille or front bumper. My h2 was so easy, literally right next to the top left of grille inside the hood. Nothing to do with the MAF her h3.. not so much. It is Not the IAT sensor. It is the Ambient air sensor for the internal A/c ice detection etc. Thanks though.

Okay, so, the metal bar in the middle of your radiator. Looks like a sideways dog bone.. in Middle of that is where the Ambient Temperature Sensor is.. (on the side facing the Radiator) You can reach it through the Grille if you have Smallish hands.. ) in case anyone else ever asks.. Thanks Guys.

Interestingly, I just checked the manual and it's not listing it there either. Nothing is ever simple. LOL

Take care and please feel free to come back any time.
