Trunk open sensor

The trunk open sensor keeps chiming and showing "trunk open" in the message center. The trunk latch sensor has been replaced and even removed completely but it continues to chime.

Hello,

I would check the wiring to the BCM. Here is a guide and the trunk wiring diagrams. If okay it sounds like the BCM is having issues and needs to be replaced. I would try a used one here is the location. Also here are the truck wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works:
