Trunk lid will not open

It is fuse #3 in fuse panel B. It is located on the left side of the engine compartment. Fuse at 2 doesn't directly control the Rear Lid Lock Unit though, instead feeding power to the Comfort System Central Control Module. This module is the one that provides power to the Rear Lid Lock Unit. I just found you possibly good news. A Technical Service Bulletin from Volkswagen about replacement of the Comfort System Central Control Module. I have included it in the diagrams down below. You might want to call your local Volkswagen dealer and inquire about it. There is good possibility that you could get this fixed for free. Get back with us and let us know what you find out.

Hey,

i went to the VW dealer and they checked the module, but said that it has been replaced previously, and that the module works fine. Then i noticed that the trunk lid actuator sometimes starts working while i'm driving, i could hear the buzzing, but it won't open when i tried. Then i took the car to one guy, long story short, when i asked him to check on it the lid opened, and the problem was gone, we had a laugh. He just told me that the problem will most likely come back, and when it does i should go to him. He guessed that it was probably a wire that is broken and it sometimes connects and sometimes it doesn't. If i do get the problem back and get it fixed i will get back here and write what the problem was. Thanks.

P.S.: the fuses were good.

This does sound like a loose wire in the connector or a loose ground connection from the module. Check those and get back to us please.
