Trunk not opening properly

The only way to open the trunk of my car listed above convertible is to press the fob trunk button twice and quickly lift on the VW emblem.

Hi, I'm Dan. There is an opening motor located in the rear trunk lid locking mechanism. This should bump the lid open when the unlock feature is commanded. I've attached a wiring diagram, be sure to check the fuses for this circuit. Most likely the locking/latch mechanism requires replacement.
