I replaced the oil cooler and EGR cooler on my truck because the oil cooler was plugged up. I put everything back together and now the truck won’t start it cranks over strong but won’t start.

How does it sound when cranking over? Can you upload a short video of this so I can see if the engine is hurt or not? Have you replaced the fuel filters which is super important on diesel engines? Also, do you have a security light flashing? I need more information please.

It cranks over strong. I replaced the diesel filter, oil filter and air filter with a Motorcraft filter. No lights are on or flashing. I connected my code reader and there weren’t any codes. I checked the ICP pressure while cranking and it’s at 1,100 PSI.

Can I ask how you knew the oil cooler was clogged? Also, did the engine run before the work?

Yes, the mechanic checked my truck and diagnosed the oil cooler was bad because my engine oil was getting hot, but my coolant was staying at normal temperature of 190 and yes, the truck was running before.

Can you please double check all ground wire that you removed during the job. Then try some diesel starting fluid to see if it will fire up for a second. Also, it would be good to get a short video of the engine cranking over so I can tell if the engine is hurt or not.

That is a good sign it means the engine is okay, now that the engine ran for a little bit let's re-run the codes to see what is stored. Also, if you removed any grounds or sensor connector lets recheck the connectors, it must be something you did while doing the repair if the engine run before. I have marked the sensor I want you to check in the images below and it shows how the job is done so we can be on the same page.
