i installed an external fuel tank and fuel pump on back of truck. I'm getting fuel to the fuel rail,and I assume I'm getting fire also because I can spray ether into breather and it fires right up. when i cut fuel pump on truck wont run. it turns over great but its like fuel isn't going thru injectors....can someone tell me what to do?

Well you may have fuel getting there, but not enough to run the engine. I'd get a fuel pressure tester and see how much you're getting. You can borrow the tester from the local parts store's loan-a-tool program.

AllData's fuel pressure test procedure is included in the images below. While you won't have the exact tool that they call for, the rental tool will approximate it well enough for the test.

If there's not enough pressure, then recheck every foot of fuel line that you installed. Look for any kinks in the line or other issues. Also, when was the last time that the fuel filter was changed? It might not be a bad idea to do so if your setup didn't already include changing it out.
