Truck cuts off when AC is on

I just recently had my shifter cable replaced, when I got it back the next day I had to replace the battery bc I had to get jumped numerous of times plus my truck drives funny. When I go to turn on my AC while driving, my truck shuts off completely!! Can't even ride with my defroster on....what's going on?
