hi i have a 1999 ford ranger 3.0 v6 flex fuel i have 2 codes p0171 and p0174

both banks to lean no i changed the maf sensor bought new one changed gas cap i smoked the truck to to see for vacume leak but nothing idk what it is please help

Where did you put the smoke in at ?What kind of smoke machine set up did you use?It wasnt a Halloween fogger was it?Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere to me did you check fuel pressure yet?

Saturntech9 is correct here. I see these codes on Fords quite often and it's nearly always a bad vacuum leak, usually the PCV hose or large connector at the manifold.

Also the pcv grommets get worn and the pcv no longer stays in the valve cover.

They're biggest problem is the rubber deteriorates from the oil fumes and the vacuum will suck a hole right through the hose that may not be visible with the engine off. Listening is the best way to find it.

mi checked fuel pressure it was almost 30 psi.

There is a major problem. The spec for this engine is 379bar (55 PSI).

i have 99 ranger 6v 3.0 flex fuel same codes p0174 and p0171. i checked my pressure and it was around 33 psi. how did you solve your problem Dodge287? fuel pump or fuel injection damper?
